Lifetime leaders graduate from Texas AgriLife Extension program
Twenty-four people have completed an intensive, two-year course on agriculture worldwide, and will graduate from Texas Agriculture Lifetime Leadership on June 5 during a ceremony in College Station. The leadership program, called
TALL, is led by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. It focuses on international communications, ecology, government policy, economics, social problems and education opportunities. more
Record $108.5 billion agricultural exports forecast for 2008
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer announced May 30 an updated quarterly forecast for U.S. agricultural exports - expected to reach a record $108.5 billion for fiscal year 2008. This latest upward revision is a $7.5 billion increase from February's previous record forecast and $26.5 billion above the final 2007 exports. more
