Farm Bill vetoed
President Bush today vetoed the 2007 Farm Bill. The Conference Committee Report passed both the House and Senate last week with veto-proof margins--318-106 in the House and 81-15 in the Senate. Both chambers are expected to hold veto override votes today.

Award offered for information in bull killing
The recent death of a bull on a Bandera County ranch has led investigators to consider the possibility that the killing
may be related to other poaching cases. Local entity Ranchers and Landowners Association has joined TSCRA by offering a monetary award to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved. more

last week, from one-tenth to nearly six inches, reported Texas AgriLife Extension Service agents from across the state. more
